Virtual reality

Area

Level

Virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality (MR) are emerging technologies that integrate virtual and real-world components that users can interact with.

The AR, VR, MR and wearable technologies can enhance the practice and enable the balance between gaining knowledge and building experience as practical training. These settings can be used for practical skills’ assessment, for example how to use particular bits of equipment. The participant can record their best performance in the VR environment, and the software automatically compares it to a modelled performance.
Mixed Reality experiences provide learners with access to visual and audio information through the display, or sound system. For instance, the learners can practice the language skills by pronouncing the terms and concepts correctly.
