Institutions can enable online peer groups to support students’ well-being. The educators can inform and guide students to participate.
The peer groups or communities may be organized as extra-curricular activities and events in many forms by student unions or organizations. The institution can act as group initiator, provide expert knowledge or monetary support but the actual group activity is managed by the group’s student members.
Examples of peer groups are thesis writers’ group, support groups for well-being, mental health, ability to study (facilitated by counseling psychologists), or various multicultural communities.
