Challenge based learning is a student-centred approach where students collaboratively answer the challenge. The challenge is focusing on a big idea reflecting a community, relationships, sustainability, democracy, etc. This approach is divided into phases: engage, investigate, act. In the whole ongoing process, the students are encouraged to document, reflect and share. After defining a challenge, the students investigate, developing the contextualized learning experience in order to create solutions that will be presented in the last phase.
