Learning by doing is a pedagogical approach, where practical problem solving and theoretical teaching go hand in hand. Instead of teacher directed lecture focus is more on “making, producing, practicing, and observing” in collaboration with other learners. The goal of this teaching approach is for learners to construct mental models that allow for applied problem solving and transfer of information and skills.
