Any competence that corresponds to the learning outcomes of the student’s degree can be included in it through recognition and accreditation of prior learning.
There is a large variety of MOOCs offering overlapping or partially replacing knowledge with many study units.
The starting point is competence-based thinking: what matters is the student’s competence itself, not how and where it has been acquired it. The procedures for the recognition and accreditation of prior learning are part of institutional and national policies.
