Guiding learners to contact the institution’s help desk or IT services support students to independently try and solve the possible digital problems.
Help desk services may also have a pool of digital advice such as a list of answers to FAQ or a series of short video clips, tutorials, addressing the most common digital issues the students face.
The educator’s role is to be aware of such guidance and remind learners about it. This is especially important if non-standard approaches are used during the online study unit.
