Licensing resources with CC

When teachers want their materials in open access, it is important to start with the selection of the preferred Creative Commons (CC) license. This implies that anyone that accesses the document, for instance via a Google search, will clearly see the selected license.

In order to do it manually, teachers have to start by selecting and downloading the intended CC license and then insert a copy of the respective icon in the work (for instance, in the footer). Usaully, write next to the icon, authors add some extra information, e.g.: “This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License”, and insert a hyperlink to the appropriate license. Alternatively, teachers can also use the CC add-in for Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint).
