Self-assessment and the assessment of others are key for learners to generate and receive feedback and develop evaluation competences. Peer assessment is an important means of developing and improving learners’ competences (subject competences; methodological competences; social competences; self-competences), including that it may allow for spotting sensitive aspects of the learner’s learning process, thus possibly supporting the teacher to provide (timely) feedback.
Digital peer assessment tools can vary according to the learning activities defined, e.g. rubrics, scripts, portfolios, journals, etc.
